As the company’s first product designer, I designed the Syapse Oncology clinical application from the ground-up.  When I joined in 2014, Syapse had pivoted from a software solution for research institutions and molecular labs to a platform for clinicians at the point-of-care. I established user-centered design processes to ensure that we are designing valuable and usable tools for our users and health system customers.  

Today, the Syapse Oncology platform enables researchers, physicians, clinical staff and health systems to leverage genomic and clinical data to improve cancer care delivery.

Syapse Oncology is used at the largest health systems in the US. A few Syapse customers are: Intermountain Healthcare, Providence St. Joseph Health, Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA), Stanford University and University of California, San Francisco (UCSF)

Integrated Patient Record - Oncologists can access patient clinical, pathology, radiology, treatment, and molecular data in a unified, longitudinal view, eliminating the need to search across siloed systems.

Molecular Tumor Board (View case study)

Standardized Molecular Dx Results - Structured test results, including drug and trial recommendations, are presented to clinicians at the point of care in the context of clinical data

Similar Patients (View Case Study)  - An capability to view treatment data for patients across the entire health system

Clinical Analytics Reports - Allowing health system staff to extract insights into their institution’s oncology care, operations, and data quality
